Bobcat Winter Wildlife Workshop 2 - Triple D Game Farm
- March 12 thru 14, 2010:

Rick leads the second of two three-day/eight-session winter wildlife photo workshops in the heart of Montana's Rocky Mountains. You will have the opportunity to photograph no less than eight rare indigenous and exotic species in wild and natural settings under the guidance of the staff from the world famous Triple D Game Farm. These species may include grizzly bear, mountain lion, gray wolf, lynx, bobcat, snow leopard, and siberian tiger to name a few. Class size is limited to 8 to insure individual attention, and fills quickly. Tuition for this workshop is $1295. Horses Winter Horse Roundup
- March 15, 2010:

Join Rick for this two session (morning and afternoon) photo shoot in nearby Whitefish, Montana. You'll have the opportunity to photograph a herd of horses galloping through the snow as wranglers round them up. This is a closed session limited to the first 10 participants. This is the perfect way to wind-down from our Winter Wildlife Workshop.

Swiftcurrent FallsGlacier Park Nature Photography

June 30 thru July 2, 2010:

Explore the wonders of Glacier National Park in a 3-day fun filled "Nature Photography Workshop" taught by Rick Sheremeta, and offered through the Glacier Institute . This course will be geared towards beginner to intermediate ability levels. Students will be taught basic knowledge on camera and equipment use, and receive helpful tips that will aid them in improving their photographic skills. The principles learned will then be applied, in the field, to capture and record the incredible landscape and wildlife throughout Glacier National Park. This course serves a great introduction to the Park as well as an opportunity to view and photograph a number of different areas of the Park. Lodging at the rustic Glacier Institute Filed camp is included with the course fee.  While the program will focus mainly on digital cameras, film users are also encouraged to participate as many of the same principles will apply. We'll use golden morning light to photograph a herd of horses galloping through fields of brightly colored wildflowers as wranglers put them through their paces rounding them up. This is a closed session limited to the first 10 participants. This is the perfect finale to the Glacier Park Nature Photography Course (see above). Sunset Digital Photography Workshop
- August 8 - 13, 2010:

This workshop is presented in conjunction with Photographers Formulary in Condon, Montana. In this course you will learn not only basic photographic skills, but seasoned photographers will also learn how to hone the skills they already possess. We will start out with class room presentations and discussions. That knowledge will then be applied photographing the spectacular scenery and majestic wildlife of Montana’s Swan Valley. In this course, you will learn how to get the most out of your equipment, how create great compositions, techniques to achieve proper exposure, and effective use of natural and artificial lighting. Perfect for photography enthusiasts, from beginner to more advanced skill levels. This course will be geared to the use of digital 35mm SLR cameras; however, since the basic techniques and ancillary equipment are the same, those students using 35mm film cameras are also encouraged to attend. Initially, we will spend time in the classroom covering basic terminology and concepts. You will learn about composition, metering and exposure, natural and flash lighting, capturing motion, perspective and depth-of-field, macro-photography, selection of clothing and equipment, and field etiquette. During your time here, you will utilize the concepts presented, as you explore and photographically capture the awesome Rocky Mountain landscape and its inhabitants. You will be encouraged develop your own creative vision. We will be on the constant lookout for wildlife and stop at sites that provide unique photographic subjects and challenges. We will also get off the road and do some easy hiking. We will discuss the ethics of wild land and wildlife photography striving to understand and minimize the impact of our photography. Most of the day will be in the field, but time will also be made for classroom discussion, student critiques, and working with digital software. The days will be long, as we strive to capture the day’s most dramatic light: dawn and dusk with downtime or travel scheduled in between. Mastering the basic concepts of digital photography also entails learning the basics of digital darkroom techniques. We will utilize downtime or mid-day breaks to learn basic image processing techniques, and share digital workflow tips in Lightroom and Photoshop. To get the most out of this course, you are encouraged to bring along a laptop computer with both Adobe’s Lightroom 2 or 3 and Photoshop CS3 or CS4 installed.
