Hotel accommodations on the East side of Glacier Park are few and far between. Room reservations fill well in advance of the summer season as a general rule.

Please contact Glacier Park Lodges for accommodations directly in the Many Glacier area of the Park.

You may also wish to check out Duck Lake Lodge or St. Mary Lake Lodge which are approximately 20 miles from Many Glacier. Please note that these locations are outside of the Park and will take approximately 1/2 - hour travel time to reach Many Glacier.

Camping, at the Many Glacier Campground, is available both by reservation ( and on a first come basis. This campground generally fills every day during the summer season by 8:00 AM. Other nearby camping options are at Duck Lake and St. Mary - try an internet search for these options.

Cell phone coverage is spotty at best in Glacier Park, and for the most part is non-existent.

Pay phone service is available at select locations. Check with Ranger Stations or hotel staff.

Internet and email is available via Wi-Fi for hotel guests. Check with hotels for this service.

Expect a 2-3 hour drive from Kalispell around the southern perimeter of the Park via Rt. 2, Hwy 49 and Hwy 89 to Babb. An alternate route is to take Going-To-The-Sun Road from West Glacier To Hwy 89 in St. Mary. This is a seasonal road which often times does not open until early July. It is much more scenic than the southern route but takes much longer with seasonal traffic and construction delays. Before taking this route check the Park website for Road Status. Click on the link to the right or directly on the map to go to Google Maps for an interactive map that may be of assistance in your travel plans.

You are responsible for your own meals during the the workshop. Dining facilities are available at both the Many Glacier Hotel and Swiftcurrent Motor Lodge. Inquire at those locations as to bag lunches - lunch breaks will normally be out on the trail. There is a snack bar at the Many Glacier Hotel and a camp store near the Many Glacier Campground adjacent to the Swiftcurrent Motor Lodge dining room where snacks and limited staples may be purchased.

The workshop fee includes tuition only. You are responsible for all other costs associated with your attendance at the workshop including but not limited to Park entrance fee which is currently $25 per vehicle for a seven day pass. Other National Park pass options are available - see Additional Resources below.
